Welcome to the latest Release Updates post.

It's the first of the year! The first release updates post of course and boy have our team been working their socks off to bring you more exciting features already. There's some fantastic features that have been released this January and I'm excited to get into them so without further ado, let's get writing.

As per usual, our developers have been working hard to bring you an exciting update this month. There has been a lot of work in the background (which you can read about here) but there have been some great updates and new features released this past month, the highlights of which are below:

Simplified Customisation Summary

If you didn't already know, we somewhat recently added the ability to import customisation information on your Amazon orders. This has been an excellent addition to StoreFeeder but with one slight flaw; the way the customisation data imported was a little messy and contained a lot of unnecessary data. We've come up with an excellent way of stripping the unnecessary text upon import so that that the customisation information is a lot easier to read.

As an example, what would have previously imported as:

"Surface 1: File [Image0.jpg] [400 width * 400 height]  File [Image1.svg]

Customizations without preview 1:

Text  1:

Name of Dog: Archie"

Now imports as:

"Name of Dog: Archie"

Which I think we can all agree, is a lot easier on the eyes!

Additional Logging for Changes to Products

You asked for it and we've provided it! Additional fields have been added to the product audit log so that you can keep tabs on changes across even more fields on your products. The following fields will now have their changes logged along with who made the change:

  • EAN
  • MPN
  • Margin
  • Manual Reorder Level
  • Weight
  • Packaging Quantity

This should prove handy for identifying causes of errors in StoreFeeder for both yourself and our team as well!

Extra Detail on Reasons for Returns

The option to add custom return reasons has existed for a while now but we've been asked by our users if it would be possible to add an option to expand on certain return reasons, an option to add extra information on the return if you like. In January we added the option to do just that; you can now set certain return reasons to ask for more information when they are selected.

To make this change to your return reasons, simply go to: Settings -> Misc -> Order Return Reasons; from here you can edit any of your existing custom return reasons (or create new ones) and switch the "Required extra details" toggle on.

Once that's done, whenever this reason is selected as a part of a return, the user will be prompted to free type further information as to what went wrong.

The notes entered through this feature will be visible in both the order notes of the returned order and the refunds summary report as well.

Order Export Token - Shipping Rule

Last but not least we have a very small but noteworthy addition to StoreFeeder and that is the option to export the shipping rule that your orders fell into. You can now add this field to your order export template to help analyse if your shipping rules are functioning as they should.

Finally….

There have been some great new features and fixes implemented in this last month's release's and we hope you find them useful in one way or another.

As always we’ll keep working hard to provide you with the best service we can.

From all of us here at StoreFeeder, happy selling.
