The about page

So you want to know who we are?

Well, we're the hard working sort of people, the type that strive to offer as much as we can in the 24 hours we have available to us each day all the while retaining some level of sanity.

We're a relatively small and hugely approachable company where our clients are not just another number. We don’t just get you in the door, do the work and send you on your way, we’re in it for the duration, helping you month on month.

We've grown with the ecommerce industry so we understand the trials and tribulations our clients face, we've got front row seats to the show. This is why we're in a prime position to offer solutions for common ecommerce problems.

A brief history of the software

Many merchants advertise their products across multiple channels and after discussions with our ecommerce clients we found that they all hit the same issues.

These include the amount of admin involved in keeping all of the inventory up to date, having to deal with orders from different channels in different ways and updating each order with tracking information etc etc.

So we decided to take the pain out of multi-channel retailing and offer one interface that does it all. After running the first version of this software internally and receiving great feedback from existing clients the decision was made to offer the software to everyone.

Meet The Team

BrianManaging Director

After working as an IT manager for a fulfilment company for over 10 years, Brian realised that there was a great need for very comprehensive multi-channel retailing software which was fairly priced. This was the founding principle that StoreFeeder has been built upon.

Growing up, Brian, a typical computer geek, loved nothing more than spending hours copying code from computer magazines to simply move some sprites around the screen on his commodore 64 (showing his age). Building his programming skills over 20 years Brian gained Microsoft Certified Application Developer status a few years back and now enjoys the variety and diversity of the work StoreFeeder is involved in.

A major golf nut, Brian is amazed at not being banned from any course for hacking into the lovely fairways, yet. When not hacking around trying to play golf Brian is a keen squash player and *thinks* he is a dab hand at bowling.

JakubSystems Architect

He started writing his first computer programs in Visual Basic when he was 15. Since then his passion for programming in general, and web development in particular, only grew. Having finished his MSc studies as the best student in his faculty, he decided to move to Nottingham and look for work in a dynamic and progressive company. That’s how he found StoreFeeder.

His daily tasks include designing and implementing new StoreFeeder features, supervision of new integrations and maintaining the channel integration side of things. He's also doing his best to always keep the big picture in mind in order to foster the continous growth of StoreFeeder and ensure that your business grows together with it.

Some say that, when he’s not coding, he likes to engage in sports like football, volleyball and swimming and that in his spare time he's attending a PhD course where he's studying the Internet's impact on Intellectual Property. All we know is: he’s called Jakub.

PetrosWeb Developer

Petros obtained a BSC (hons) in computer science at Hertfordshire University. He has been a web developer since he graduated and has a passion for developing new and exciting products and technologies. He enjoys programming and creating applications that are useful and efficient, but above all he loves solving problems.

GemmaMarketing Manager

Gemma has been in the digital world for over 10 years, with a strong passion for the Internet and anything that falls under it's umbrella. From taking computing at school she progressed into the more creative side of the Internet by completing an arts degree in Digital and Lens Media.

An avid researcher of 'anything that's new' on the Internet, Gemma is always looking for ways to improve and grow the StoreFeeder product, as well as creating campaigns to get the software under people's noses. If you think you've got a marketing opportunity, this is who you need to be speaking with.

As the 'creative' in the company, Gemma is also responsible for user interface design and producing marketing material.

When not working on StoreFeeder she can be found buried in her own personal projects which often relate to installation art, photography and the art of bowling.

MarkAccount Manager

A software engineer of 20 years standing.

A keen eye for detail, Mark's work ethic is "do it right once", this approach has been developed over many years working for large blue chip companies like Experian where he revolutionised their reporting process and for the Footise 100 company - CMG Ltd where he was a senior Technical Consultant. Working for CMG’s Financial Division as a Systems Architect for organisations that included Barclays, HBOS and Friends Provident.

He has run his own Company for 5 years and relishes the agile environment and the rewards that working in this way brings, so StoreFeeder is a natural fit, a great product with a bright future.

He loves a techy challenge, but its not all work, work work you know! He is an avid triathlete and sports nut in general and has qualified as an Advanced Personal Trainer so if you need any advice...

StoreFeeder Trivia

#1. Initial names for the software thrown around in brainstorming sessions included the word 'Squid' which is how our little Squiddy was born. 'Many hands make light work' after all!
